COVID Safety Guidelines
The following safety procedures have been updated to align with the current CDC guidelines.
1) Participants will line up based on pace, according to the pace sign next to the path leading to the start line. The start will be staggered by pace group with approximately 10 seconds between groups. The fastest pace group will start the run first. All those walking will start last. This will help to avoid passing on the course.
2) Face Masks are not required for all those fully vaccinated. Face masks are required before and after the run for those not vaccinated, but can be removed during the run.
3) Participants passing one another on the course must adhere to “no drafting” rules which include being no closer than 6 feet behind or in front of, or 6 feet beside other runners/walkers at any time. Participants may pass only when there are not any oncoming runners approaching from the opposite direction. Before passing, participants must be sure they can safely remain 6 feet behind and then 6 feet in front of the participant being overtaken before merging back to the side of the pathway.
4) Finisher's Medals will not be handed out after the run. You will receive your medal at Packet Pickup.
5) Bottled water will be available at the finish instead of open cups. You may carry a water bottle with you as there will not be water available on the course. Please dispose of all water bottles in a trash can or recycle bin.
6) Hand Sanitizer will be available before and after the run.
7) Volunteer staff are all fully vaccinated.
8) Plenty of space outdoors or in your cars before the run to help maintain social distancing.
9) If you have any COVID symptoms, especially a fever of 100.4, please do not attend the in-person fun run.
10) If you are joining us at Walt's for the post run celebration, please adhere to all safety procedures required by Walt's.
