About this Race Series

Compete across our entire series of races to earn points towards the Live Red Race Series! Each Live Red Foundation race you complete in a calendar year earns you a score both towards overall and age group / category placement.

Series Scoring

Your top-3 event scores will be used towards your series ranking in 4 categories:

Sprint Triathlon Series – Age Group/Athena/Clydesdale & Overall
Sprint Aquabike Series – Overall Only
Sprint Duathlon Series – Overall Only
Youth Triathlon Series – Age Group & Overall
Youth Duathlon Series – Overall Only
Run Series – Age Groups Only

Each of these races must be completed in the same category (i.e. age group vs athena/clydesdale) within the same race year to be eligible for series awards. Relays are not scored. The following LRF events will be scored as follows:

Feb 23: West Creek Duathlon & 5k – Non-draft & draft legal races count towards sprint & youth duathlon series. 5k counts towards run series.
Apr 5: Earth Day 5k & Kid's Mile – Counts towards run series
May 3: Innsbrook Mile – Counts towards run series
May 4: East Coast Triathlon Festival – Age group non-draft races count towards sprint, youth, and duathlon series. Draft-legal races not scored.
May 31: Outdoor Fest Runs – Counts towards run series. Canicross 5k not scored.
Jun 28: VA Super Tri – Counts towards sprint & youth triathlon series
Jul 26: RVA Splash & Dash – Counts towards youth triathlon series. Adult & relay races not scored.
Aug 24: RVA Sprint Tri and Kids Splash & Dash – Sprint race counts towards sprint triathlon, sprint aquabike, and sprint duathlon series. Splash & Dash counts towards youth triathlon series.
Sep 28: Robious Landing Tri - Sprint race counts towards sprint triathlon, sprint aquabike, and sprint duathlon series. Youth race counts towards youth triathlon and duathlon series.
10/26: Regency Mile - Counts towards run series.

Series Awards

The Top 3 in each category above will receive a limited-edition 2025 Leader’s Shirt to celebrate your accomplishment. The overall sprint and youth triathlon winners will also receive a 2025 Leader’s Bike Jersey.

Any athlete who participates in a minimum of 5 Live Red Foundation events will also receive a special participation gift at the end of the year as a thank you for your support!
