Nine years ago, my good buddy Alec Reisberg, a Marine combat veteran, convinced me to drive in the 2nd Annual Ruck4HIT. I've done it every year since then — except for 2018 when my dad died just before the Ruck.
WHY I RUCK
I'll be driving in my 9th Ruck4HIT at the end of April. I'm doing it in honor of my dad (George), who served in the Army and who was proud of his service. Later in life, he got so much joy out of reuniting with his fellow service members, taking annual trips throughout the country with them. And I'm doing it for my Papou, Evangelo Graham, who served in the Navy during World War II. He was a funny, sweet man -- I miss both him and my dad every day and am grateful for their service.
I'm also doing this year's Ruck4HIT in honor of Captain Eric A. Jones and his parents Cyndy and her late husband Ken Jones. Eric died in a helicopter crash while flying a combat mission in Afghanistan in October 2009. I never met Eric, but I have met his parents. Cyndy is truly an angel on earth.
She and Ken created Heroes In Transition (HIT) which is the beneficiary of the Ruck4HIT.
The Impact of Your Giving
HIT works to honor Captain Eric Jones's life, service, and sacrifice through an umbrella of programs which are incredibly inspiring. You can learn more about them here: https://heroesintransition.org/programs/.
I've had the honor of seeing firsthand the impact these programs have on individuals and families who are sacrificing and have sacrificed so much for our country and our freedoms. HIT is making a difference, one person and one family at a time. I can't think of a better organization to support.
My Goal
I'll be driving in this year's Ruck4HIT. I also want raise over $4,000 — I've come close, but have never reached it. Maybe this will be the year. Please know that any amount helps and goes to assist a worthy organization helping our country's heroes.

Thank you for your help, your support of our team, and most importantly your support of Heroes In Transition!
