I’ve signed up to virtually participate in the 21st Annual Pat’s Run on April 12, 2025 – a 4.2 mile event that honors the memory of Pat Tillman while raising funds to support and invest in the Tillman Scholars carrying forward his legacy.
As we begin to turn the page on the recognition of 20 years since Pat lived, we are paying tribute to the impacts of Pat’s legacy in different chapters of his life. As a standout for the Arizona Sun Devils and as the 226th pick in the NFL Draft to the Arizona Cardinals turned All-Pro, Pat’s grit and passion catapulted him to new heights. At the peak of his NFL career, he made the selfless decision to leave that all behind and enlist into the Army Rangers, answering the calling for something bigger than himself.
His legacy continues to be carried forward by the nearly 1,000 Tillman Scholars that carry his torch of Scholarship, Humble Leadership, Service, and Impact. Participation in the 21st Annual Pat’s Run directly supports this living legacy, ushering in the next generation of leaders rooted in the values Pat exemplified in these eras.
The Tillman Scholars are a select group of service members, veterans, and military spouses to whom the foundation grants academic scholarships to pursue their dreams of continued service – both in and out of uniform. They are creating positive change in the fields of medicine, law, business, education, the arts, and more.
This year, I’ve pledged to raise $424.40 or more to support the Tillman Scholars. Since I hit that in less than 24 hours, the new goal is $1000 to help Tillman Scholars.
