Here we are again.
Nine years ago I climbed the 832 steps of the Space Needle for the first time. Since then, I’ve done this fundraising stairclimb every year except 2020, when the needle was shut down. I’ve climbed on the spire on top of the needle and walked on the halo that surrounds it. And every year my amazing friends have donated to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center because RESEARCH SAVES LIVES!
So here we are again, it’s 2025 and Fred Hutch needs support now more than ever. And more than ever, I’m aware of the effect cancer has on my friends and my family.
One of my closest friends lost his brother and his father-in-law to cancer this year. I know a retired teacher and a too young girl actively fighting cancer. I know survivors and I know folks who didn’t survive. I have had cancer and worry it will return.
And so, I do the only thing I can. I raise money for the researchers who are working on treatments and cures for this killer. Research is the answer. Science is the answer. Work is the answer.
Please consider joining me in fighting for our friends and family, fighting to change the outcomes, change the prognosis, change lives.
Any amount helps, any amount makes you a fighter for this worthy cause.
Thank you, my friends.
With love,
Johnny Trash
