Our next events:
July 21: A mid-day Staib Park River Clean-Up with the Hackensack Riverkeeper
Every year, from April through November, Hackensack Riverkeeper's cleanup program mobilizes over 1,000+ volunteers and removes an average of 25,000 pounds of trash from our local waterways. If you enjoy spending time outdoors and want to be actively involved in restoring your river, sign up now as the Friends join the Riverkeeper at Staib Park in Hackensack on July 21. All you need to do is wear an outfit you do not mind getting dirty, and the Riverkeeper will provide the rest of the equipment, including trash grabbers, gloves, garbage bags, tools, sun/bug spray, and PIZZA! |

More Upcoming Events - Keep Checking Back for more details and registration info!Because of the extreme heat in June, we postponed until September our planned Sunset Eco-Cruise in the Meadowlands with the Hackensack Riverkeeper. The event will be limited to the first 20 people who sign up, because that is all the two boats hold. The cost is $300 per boat, so we are keeping the per person cost at $30 to encourage participation by the Friends. |
