I am participating in Seattle’s Most Iconic Climb, Base 2 Space on September 27th, to support Fred Hutch Cancer Center through the Space Needle Foundation. Donate today and help us get closer to our $750,000 goal!
I've never done this before, and I'm not sure I CAN do it -- but gosh darn it -- I'm gonna try! I'm climbing with a bunch of friends from Whatcom County Library, some of whom are also cancer survivors, and with my son, Henry!
Please support us if you can, with whatever size of donation that is comfortable for you. Five dollar donations will not offend me! During my short and not-that-terrible cancer event, I was honored to be shown such love and support, both from friends and from complete strangers -- I want to make sure that everyone who goes through cancer feels equally as loved and lifted up! I also lost my mom to cancer in 2010, and every time I do any cancer fund-raising or service to others, I do it for her. She was the kindest, warmest, most helpful and giving person I ever knew, and I would be proud to be half as amazing as she was. If I can help someone beat or avoid cancer in any way, I want to do that.
The Space Needle Foundation is proud to support Fred Hutch Cancer Center, a world-renowned organization dedicated to preventing and eliminating cancer and infectious disease. All donations raised during Base 2 Space will be directed to Fred Hutch and the Space Needle Foundation. As a component of the Seattle Foundation, the Space Needle Foundation is committed to elevating our collective future by supporting organizations who are at the forefront of transforming lives and make a positive difference in the Puget Sound region and beyond.
Thank you!
