#MTPWALKPHILLY20. Share your experience all week!

Donate and fundraise on this site until July 31!

Please keep sharing your photos and memories using #MTPWalkPhilly20.

Our Virtual MORE THAN PINK Walk on June 28 was quite a success, thank you! But, for the next month or more, we need our Walk community continuing to rally to raise the money we need to fund programs and services that are more critical than ever. Like our Patient Assistance Program that pays for daily life needs of breast cancer patients, especially those hit hard by the financial impact of COVID-19. And, like our Community Grants Program that provides free or low-cost breast health early-detection, education, diagnostic and treatment services for your neighbors in need. Plus, we need to ensure the breakthrough research and clinical trials do not stop for even a second!

So please, while we all relish a wonderful Virtual Walk day, we encourage everyone to keep your eyes on the ultimate vision of a world without breast cancer. Donate to the Walk, team or participant and continue to fundraise on this website and Facebook.

#MTPWalkPhilly20—use it any time you share on social media.

Just because June 28 has come and gone, does mean we have to put the brakes on the amazing sharing of hope, stories, experiences and celebrations that united our community across 15 counties during our Virtual Walk!

Please, continue to share and explore the many motivational, empowering opportunities that came with the Walk.

You stayed safe. You embraced the virtual format. You kept our mission MOVING! Thank you.

To all our beautiful, dedicated 2020 MORE THAN PINK Walk Supporters:

The powerful results of this year’s Walk all come down to the collective efforts of an entire Komen Philadelphia community of volunteers, sponsors, donors, participants, fundraisers, committee leaders and professionals—support by our board of directors and staff. If ever there was proof positive of it “taking a village,” this spring and our Virtual Walk was it!

All of you did not just “make it work.” From the start, when it became clear our Mother’s Day Walk at Eakins Oval could not happen, our goal was never to “just do what we can to get by.” Together, we set out to set a precedent for virtual walks and make ours the success to which all others would aspire. And, that we did!

Despite all the moving parts of transitioning to a successful Virtual Walk, counting in all the ways, places and times we had to “pivot” and blaze the trail—we can define how this community “did it” in just three words. Loyalty. Determination. Faith. More specifically, your loyalty to our cause and to Komen Philadelphia… your determination not to let COVID-19 pause or compromise the progress of our mission in any way… your faith that we would create a virtual event that would translate into your support having every bit of impact on saving lives as our traditional event in the past.

For the impact you’ve made—an impact not as big, but bigger than ever during a time when our services are more critical to more people than ever before—for the lives we will save together… for these things and so much more, Komen Philadelphia thanks you in ways words cannot express.

This year more than ever, you all have proven that our Komen Philadelphia family is the hands-down best anywhere… ever.  We are one. We are strong. We are in this fight to win this fight—and nothing will stop us until we are living in a world without breast cancer. Thank you!
