As Big to my Little Brother Zach, we meet almost every Sunday. Our favorite activities are watching, analyzing, or playing football, bowling at Starlite Lanes (thank you Cousin Ron and Karen!), going to movies, and playing games. I also often refer to Zach as the “Cinders” whisperer, since he was the only one who could pick up our recently departed 22-year-old cat without losing blood!
Zach is now 13 and dreams BIG of getting a football scholarship to the University of Arizona and being drafted by the Cardinals. If that doesn’t work out, he wants to be a football coach or a trainer. The agency has supported Zach’s dreams and helped fund his trip to a special Texas
Football Camp where he played at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
While football is his first love, three years ago Zach ran the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff 5K. Every year since then, he has lowered his time! And two years ago when we finally raced together, Zach outkicked me at the finish line, and this year he did the same to my even speedier wife Diana! His BIG goal next year is to break 30 minutes!
To support matches like ours, Zach and I created a fundraising page for the half marathon last year, raising over $3600, enough funding for two matches like ours! This year we'd like to meet our goal of making three matches! To help us reach our goal, please donation to our effort!
