At Luck Stone, stone is just the start of our commitment to our customers and communities. As a family-owned and operated company celebrating our 100th year in business, we recognize that our opportunity to make a positive impact is all around us.
We are opening our gates again to explore a working quarry on foot during Luck Stone’s 2nd Rockville Run the Rock 5K in Rockville, Virginia. This exciting race event is designed for all levels and proceeds will benefit the Goochland County Fire Department.

- 7:30 am to 8:30 am: Event Check-In for Race Participants
- 9:00 am: Race Starts
- 10:00 am: Awards
- 10:00 am to 12:00 pm: Post Race Party

Event Parking
- Parking will take time, please make sure to park no later than 8:30 a.m. to allow time to check in for the race.
- Parking will be available at the Republic Landfill site (1961 Ashland Road, Rockville VA). Volunteers will be helping to direct traffic and directing participants to check in and the start of the race.
- If handicapped parking is needed, it will be available at 1950 Rockville Industrial Way in the paved parking lot in front of the Training Center.
Event Check-In
- Race check-in will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
- The volunteers will direct you across the road to race check-in at the top of the hill.
- Late participants will not be allowed to enter on the course after the race starts at 9:00 a.m.
- For identification and emergency purposes, along with ensuring the accuracy of results, participants will not be allowed to check-in under another name. Once your bib is assigned, it cannot be transferred to another participant.
Additional Event Information
Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site.- We will have an espresso coffee cart, Maresca’s Coffee Counter, and breakfast food from ValerEats.
- For day-of support, look for volunteers wearing high-visibility yellow t-shirts.
- No coolers or alcohol will be allowed.
Raffle Benefitting Goochland County Fire & Rescue
Stop by the raffle booth, buy tickets, and enter for a chance to WIN fantastic prizes including gift cards, YETI coolers, and even a load of stone!
All proceeds will go directly to the dedicated first responders at Goochland Fire and Rescue!
Cash or card will be accepted. Winners must be in person to win. Raffle prizes will be announced at 11:30 am.
