Instructions to Start / Finish Line:
When entering the park at the Main Gate you will turn right at the "T". Rose Island is at the far end of the park, so you will drive all the way down this park road until you reach the boat ramp gates which are closed due to the ramp being closed for the winter. Take the Left and you will arrive in the parking lot at the trail head. Please be courteous and safe when parking. Fill the parking lot and any over flow parking should be only along the guard rail side of the road in case emergency vehicles need to pass through.

Awards
We will have awards for Overall Male and Female finishers. Age groups will be posted on RunSignUp for bragging rights. All finishers will receive a unique Rose Island Wooden Ticket. We will also have series Overall awards for those who completed all 4 races in person. Warriors (who have completed 3 of the 4 races) also get an award and shirt for showing up and getting these winter trail races done.

Stay Hydrated & Stay Safe
This event is CUPLESS. Please bring your own water bottle, hydration pack, or cup. Bottled Waters will be available in very limited supply. Water, packaged snacks will be available post race.

Restrooms
There will be two Portable Restrooms for the race near the start line. There are no facility restrooms on this end of the park.

Aid Station
We will have an aid station near the finish area with plenty of snacks and water refill station. Just a reminder our trail races are cupless. Please bring your own water bottle or hydration vest. This greatly reduces litter and waste from our trail events.

Course Description
For any of those who have ventured out to Rose Island before know just how steep the road down to Rose Island can be to run, hike, walk or crawl. Taking that into consideration we have opted to utilize Trail 3 to go down to Rose Island and return back to the finish from Rose Island.

Turn-by-Turn: Starting from the parking lot we will head out onto Trail 4 staying to the left at the Y. This is a closed loop trail with no connectors so enjoy this 2.9 mile loop with some great views to start the race. As you return from Trail 4 you will turn left on the pavement for a few hundred feet to Trail 3. This trail follows along the water down the hill dropping you off at the bridge. Cross the bridge to Rose Island and stay to the right following the loop around Rose Island. Once you complete the Rose Island loop you will cross the bridge and turn immediately right onto Trail 3. Once at the top of Trail 3 you will turn right on the pavement heading into the finish. Your total distance is about 6.5 miles and 700 ft of elevation.

Packet Pick-Up
Saturday at Ken Combs Running Store from 1 PM to 3 PM. Kim will be at Ken Combs with your race packets, store items, and if you have already completed 3 of the 4 races your Warrior Gear as well. Ken Combs is offering a discount to those who come in and need to buy gear during packet pick-up.

Race Day Packet Pick-up will be on-site prior to the race start. We will be setup about 8:00 AM to Check-in participants.

T-Shirts
Shirts for this series are an optional add-on.  This keeps the cost of the race reasonable for families. We will have a limited number of shirts available for sale on race day. If you know you want a shirt, please pre-order during registration.

Parking--ARRIVE EARLY & CARPOOL
Carpool as much as possible. We want to be respectful of the parks so we are able to have many more great events in the future. Carpooling is preferred to make space for everyone planning to participate. If you are planning to run with a friend, we encourage carpooling. Please do not park in the grass or blocking the roadway.

The parking lot has parking spaces for about 50 cars. The road to the parking lot needs to be accessible by emergency crews and for vehicles coming and going. Please Please Please do NOT park on both sides of the road or block traffic.
