The 8th Annual Woodfin 5K will start Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 9:00 AM.
Your Registration and Donations will make a real difference for the children we are educating at our terrific neighborhood school, Woodfin Elementary. Since 2014, the Read - Write - Run event has raised more than $50,000 to support classrooms from Kindergarten through Grade 4.
The 5K run/walk is hosted by the Woodfin Elementary School with support and coordination from the Woodfin Elementary School PTO, the Town of Woodfin, YMCA of WNC, New Life Community Church, Reynolds Mountain Homeowners Association, and many other fine community friends, sponsors, and volunteers.
5K Entry Fees:
$23: The first 23 people to sign up using Code "Woodfin23" $25: Until midnight on April 13th. $30: April 14 - 28th $35: April 29th: Race Day Kid's 11 & Under: Run for Free and includes a race t-shirt. While FREE we do ask that they register online.

Don't feel like running but still want to join the fun? We welcome you to Join the Volunteer Team. There are a bunch of pre-race projects and race day tasks we need help with - registration, course marshals, etc. The day starts at 7:00am with breakfast and coffee in the WES cafeteria. Pizza Party Challenge
All Woodfin Elementary School students can run for FREE [They must register to do so.] In exchange for this freebie we encourage them to raise funds for their school by finding sponsors.
Well.... how do you get elementary school kids motivated to raise $$$? Easy! The class that raises the most funds wins a Pizza Party in their classroom!! Now we're talking!!!
Below is a list of the Teams - named for each teacher. To make a donation to your student's class Team - ask them who their teacher is and then click on the corresponding link. Your donation will be credited to their Team.
