Welcome to the Grateful Patient Team fundraising page!

LifeFlight of Maine is a nonprofit organization and the state’s only emergency medical helicopter service. With four helicopters, an airplane and ground ambulances, LifeFlight brings ICU-level care directly to the patient. As Maine’s only air ambulance service, LifeFlight has served more than 42,000 patients, one life at a time, from every community and hospital in the state.  

Each of us on the Grateful Patient Team has a connection to LifeFlight, either as a patient or as a close family member of a patient. Though our LifeFlight stories are different, our gratitude binds us together. For those of us who were transported by LifeFlight, we did not wake up the morning of our flight expecting to need their services. And yet they were there when we needed them the most. They showed up. They showed up with compassion and kindness. They provided us with critical care that we never in our wildest dreams imagined we would ever need. Our gratitude to LifeFlight never goes away.

Between August 1 and August 31, we each will be doing our own Crossings, but we are in solidarity supporting LifeFlight. We participate in the Cross for LifeFlight for various and personal reasons, but we are in agreement that this much needed service must continue to be available to all people of Maine. Please consider making a donation of any size to help LifeFlight continue their courageous and noble work into the future. As a nonprofit, LifeFlight relies on the generosity of donors and you never know when you or a family member might need them.
