There is an ever-present need at cancer hospitals across the country to bring the latest oncology and critical care training to nurses and clinicians who are working hard every day to ensure cancer patients and their caregivers receive the best care possible. The Maddie Kate Fund’s focus is on increasing access to such training and easing the financial burden for the talented and dedicated staff at these hospitals.
Maddie Kate Smart's family created this fund at Maine Med to share their personal story of gratitude, and to give back to nurses in meaningful ways.
