Simon Escorcia is the owner and founder of Colorado Race Timing, LLC. He grew up in Nauvoo, Illinois and in Burlington, Iowa where he graduated from Notre Dame High School. Simon then attended Luther College in Iowa where he ran track and cross country for the Norse. After obtaining his BA, he earned his MBA from Iowa’s St. Ambrose University.
In 2007, Simon realized that the corporate world was not for him and started planning his escape. The two things that he knew and loved most were entrepreneurship and running, he just had to figure out how to combine the two. Simon launched Colorado Race Timing, LLC in January 2008.
Simon balances race timing with running and still finds time to run road races, including a 2:43:39 PR at the 2014 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. He has completed 15 marathons as of December 2016.
