At packet pick up, runners check in for the race and are issued their running bib and swag bag. If the runner purchased a shirt or other merchandise, it is given to them at this time. Packet Pick Up is the beginning of the runner’s experience with us. It is important that they feel welcomed and valued and their experience at this first stage will determine their impression for the rest of the event.

This key role is not just about providing hydration support — but moral support and excitement! As runners travel the course, they may get fatigued; but with your smiling face and cheering attitude, you will revive them! Duties include setting up the station, filling and stacking cups with water and Skratch Labs, restocking cups throughout the course of the morning, handing beverages to runners as they come by, and finally cleaning up the area when the last runner passes. Getting wet and standing for long periods is required for this role.

This station will be manned by Major Mortgage.

TeamRWB will be manning this aid station.

This key role is not just about providing hydration support — but moral support and excitement! As runners travel the course, they may get fatigued; but with your smiling face and cheering attitude, you will revive them! Duties include setting up the station, filling and stacking cups with water and Skratch Labs, restocking cups throughout the course of the morning, handing beverages to runners as they come by, and finally cleaning up the area when the last runner passes. Getting wet and standing for long periods is required for this role.

This Aid Station is almost at the half-way point. Snacks, Energy Gel, Skratch Labs Hydration and Water will be at this Aid Station.

Aid Station #5 - Turn Around Point High Priority

This Aid Station is the turn around point for the Half Marathon. Water will be provided at this aid station only.

Race Set Up Low Priority

This opportunity includes everything to set up the race – aid stations, course lighting, check in, start line, finish line, refuel station at the finish line, after-race celebration. Volunteers will also be asked to assist Vendors and the Photographer as necessary.

Tear Down Crew

Details

Great for groups!

When it is all said and done, and we have to say good-bye to our great event until next year, we need volunteers to help tear down the start/finish line area. Duties include taking down signs, moving stalls, cleaning trash from the surrounding area. Standing, bending, lifting 25-50 lbs, getting dirty are all required.

Finish Line High Priority

Details

At the Finish Line you will provide each finisher with their hard-earned medal and a bottle of water. You'll assist in directing them to the finish line food area and photography section

Details

After receiving their medal, the Finish Line Food area is probably the most important as it gives the runners a chance to quickly replenish their lost energy stores. At this station, you will maintain food levels, portion out chocolate milk and ensure that only runners partake of the goodies. You'll also be the eyes of the race - noticing when a runner might be in distress and notifying the First Aid Tent if a runner is in need.

Kids Dash

Kid's Run High Priority

You must be 14 or older to volunteer for this task.

Help get the kids off on their 1 mile course! This position entails starting the kids off, posting at the turn around point and sending the kids back and presenting the finishers with their hard-earned medal.

Finisher Celebration @ Edgewater Brewery

Details

At Edgewater Brewery, you'll check in runners and confirm that they have their meal ticket. You'll confirm that runners have their wristband and beer ticket and if they do not have their wristband, you'll visually check their ID to make sure they are of drinking age. You'll direct runners to where food is ordered and where to sit.
