- It has been almost 2 years since our son-in-law (Dave Mao) passed away from kidney cancer. We miss him, but it has been devastating for our daughter Laura & grandkids Lucy & Leo. Dave was a computer genius - miss you Dave in sooooo many nerdy ways. Dave was also a musical talent - sorry I failed at the computer musical game we played in MN while visiting. Anyway, we are once again committing to the Seattle Stair Climb in support of cancer research at Fred Hutch in Seattle in September 2025. We do this fundraiser as a family supporting each other in hopes of preventing another family experiencing a too early loss of life.
I am participating in Seattle’s Most Iconic Climb, Base 2 Space on September 28th, to support Fred Hutch Cancer Center through the Space Needle Foundation. Donate today and help us get closer to our $750,000 goal!
The Space Needle Foundation is proud to support Fred Hutch Cancer Center, a world-renowned organization dedicated to preventing and eliminating cancer and infectious disease. All donations raised during Base 2 Space will be directed to Fred Hutch and the Space Needle Foundation. As a component of the Seattle Foundation, the Space Needle Foundation is committed to elevating our collective future by supporting organizations who are at the forefront of transforming lives and make a positive difference in the Puget Sound region and beyond.
