Announcing the 2023 JackFest Team Fundraising Challenge
Great Cause! ~ Great Prizes! ~ Great Fun!
The Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville provides a home away from home for families of sick
children who are receiving medical care for life threatening illnesses at the University of Virginia
Children's Hospital. This year, JackFest is introducing a Team Fundraising Challenge to raise money that
will support the Ronald McDonald House and UVA Children’s in providing their vital services.
Signing up is easy! There are 2 categories:
● Individuals/Families
● Corporate (for groups such as businesses, churches, schools, and other organizations)
The top fundraiser in each category will take home an incredible grand prize:
** Individuals/Families Grand Prize** 1 week at a beach house in Surf City, North Carolina in 2024. The
house has direct access from its back deck to the beautiful Topsail Island beach. It sleeps 8 in 4
bedrooms. Trigger warning for UVA fans though...it is decorated in a Tar Heel theme. But we doubt you will care much as you enjoy this beautiful barrier island on the Carolina coast.
**Corporate Grand Prize** UVA Athletics Package including 4 front-row tickets to a men’s basketball
game at JPJ Arena, a pre-game tour of the arena, and a signed basketball; and 4 pre-game passes to get
on the field before the Duke football game on November 18th at Scott Stadium, 4 tickets to the game, a signed football, and a chance to attend football practice.
Plus there are several other great runner up prizes for other top fundraising teams in each category.
And even if you don’t get the top prize, participation in the Team Fundraising Challenge provides
everyone with the satisfaction that you have helped give the gift of comfort and community for a family
going through an incredibly difficult time in their lives.
Donations of every size are important and appreciated. As your team starts to raise money it can help to
share what their donations buy for families at the House.
● $15 – Purchases a credit for our Beautiful Bubby's Book program, providing an audio book of choice for one of our families.
● $25 – Provide 1 Day of snacks and coffee for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House
● $50 – Provide 1 Day of food supplies for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
● $100 – Support 1 Night at the Ronald McDonald House for the family of a sick child. Families
stay at the House on average for about 3 weeks.
● $250 – Provides 1 week of Love Sandwich Lunches, which equates to 75 lunches on a Friday for the families on the pediatric floor (includes a sandwich, chips, fresh veggies and dip, fresh fruit and a dessert).
● $550 – The Love Connection: One quarter (3 months) of internet for families to keep them connected with their loved ones, their workplaces, and with the video link devices set up by the hospital so they can view/hear their little one when they are at the House.
● $750 – Adopt a Room for the Week: That is, covering the costs for a family to stay at the House for a week.
● $1,000 – Feed The House for a Week: That is, providing dinner for 18 families for 6 nights (McDonald's treats the families with dinner each Tuesday, the 7th night).
● $1,250 – Wrap Them In Love: Covers the cost of clean linens and towels for the families for one month.
● $2,500 – Mission Partner: Assists with all areas of support for the families..
