Caelan Rawson-Turner is a goalie for the Haverhill Pentucket Thunder U12 Team.
In 2023, Caelan was diagnosed with Pantothenate Kinase Associated Neurodegeneration (PKAN). This rare genetic disorder is cause by disfunction in the meabolic process of coenzyme-A, a critical Molecule that fuels countless cellular functions. For Caelan, this first meant losing control of his arms. It has progressed into affecting his balance, speech and ability to grasp with his hands, stripping him of his ability to play with the Thunder. At this time, there is no cure. The Haverhill PD Hockey Team is proud to play this years BFit Heroes Cup for Caelan and the Loving Loic Foundation.
The Heroes Cup requires each team to raise a minimum of $2500 for the Boston Bruins Foundation, with the rest going to the charity of our choice, which is the Loving Loic Foundation. The Haverhill PD Hockey Team has already raised the $2500 by player donations. So all donations made will go directly to supporting Caelan, his family, and the Loving Loic Foundation.
