Email Tips
Email! Email! Email!
Email is still the #1 way to spread the word about your fundraising. Below are some tips on how to have the most effective fundraising campaign, and a sample email you can use to ask people to support you!
Getting Started
- Once you register: Personally email 5-10 very close contacts you are pretty sure will make a donation. That way you can get a little bit of momentum before you reach out even further.
- Week 1: Send an email to the next closest, most supportive members of your personal or professional network.
- Week 2: Cast a wide net by sending an email to everyone in your network.
Tips for Writing a Compelling Fundraising Email
- Explain why you are participating in Ride for a Healthier Tomorrow.
- Tell your potential supporters that 100 percent of donations raised by Ride for a Healthier Tomorrow will help patients and families at Arkansas Children’s Northwest.
- Know your audience—this might mean three different messages for three different sets of people. But sounding like yourself will always have better results!
- Always include a link to your personal fundraising page.
