Frequently Asked Questions: 

Do I need to register to participate?
Yes, everyone age 2 and older must register to participate in the Autism Acceptance Walk & Family Festival.

How do I register myself &/or Team members for the Autism Acceptance Walk & Family Festival?
To register for the Walk & Family Festival, click on the "Sign Up" button and complete the registration information. 

How do I create a fundraising page?
An individual fundraising page is automatically created for each person when they register. ASNV relies on the support of its fundraising teams - see below!

Tell me more about fundraising - what's a fundraising team?
The best way to fundraise for ASNV is to create a "Team." A Team is a family, group of friends or a company who would like to raise money to improve the lives of individuals affected by autism. Simply create a fun team name and register your family, company or school. You can then ask people to either donate to your Team or join your team. (Friends and family can join your team even if they are not able to make it to the walk- these people can use their own networks to raise money for ASNV on behalf of your team). If I'm asking people to donate, should I send them to my individual page or my team's page?
Unless you and your team members are competing against each other to raise the most money for the team, we recommend that you just send everyone to your team's page. Usually teams find it simpler to have it all in one place. If someone does donate to an individual page, that donation amount WILL be counted in the team's total. 

Does the event registration fee count towards my fundraising team total?
No – while your event registration fee does not count towards your team’s fundraising efforts. (Registration fees are applied to the cost of the event; donations, however, benefit ASNV and are 100% tax-deductible.)

How much money do I have to raise?
There is no fundraising minimum - set your goal to the amount you feel comfortable.
