April is Autism Acceptance Month!

Please join us for the 7th Annual Autism Acceptance Walk at the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds to benefit the Autism Society of Northern Virginia. 

Online registration opens January 1st. Register and start your fundraising early for a chance to win one of two early bird prizes! This year, we'll be offering a $200 gift card to the fundraiser who has raised the most at the end of January, and everyone who registers by January 31st will be entered in a drawing to win a $100 gift card. So don't delay!

How to Create or Join a Fundraising Team


The easiest way to create or join a fundraising team is through the sign up/registration process: 
1. Click the SIGN UP button and register yourself and any family members or friends. On the first page, you'll be asked to enter information about each person. On the second page, you'll pick t-shirt sizes for each person.
2. On the third page during the sign up process, click the blue button that says "BECOME FUNDRAISER." Make sure that EACH PERSON has "Become a Fundraiser" selected. You can enter in as much or as little information as you want for each person.
3. On the same page, below each person's information, you will see a section that says "Create or Join a Fundraising Team." To start a new team, just select "New Fundraising Team" or to join a team someone has already started, pick their team from the drop-down menu. Don't forget to then complete the rest of the registration process! 

If you will not be attending in person but want to fundraise, click the DONATE button at the top and then click the blue button that says "BECOME FUNDRAISER." Please note that this will not register you for the walk, so if you plan on attending, you shouldn't create/join a team this way.  

Frequently Asked Questions about Teams


How much money do I have to raise? 
There is NO fundraising minimum, so set your goal to whatever you feel comfortable with! Some teams raise less than $50 and some have raised more than $3,000!

Are there prizes?
YES! Prizes will be announced soon!

Do registration amounts count towards my team total?
No, registration amounts do not count towards your team total. 

If I'm asking people to donate, should I send them to my individual page or my team's page?
Unless you and your team members are competing against each other to raise the most money for the team, we recommend that you just send everyone to your team's page. Usually teams find it simpler to have it all in one place. If someone does donate to an individual page, that donation amount WILL be counted in the team's total.
