Bakersfield Marathon

Free parking is available for participants, guests and late-arriving vendors at the Kern County Museum and Stramler Park.

The entrances will be active between 5:00am and 6:30am. All entrances will be closed starting at 6:30am and re-opening at 8:00am.

Before 6:30am the Kern County Museum is accessible from Chester Avenue coming from the south. Use northbound Chester Avenue to enter either the Museum or Stramler Park parking lots using one of the two entrances. Coming from the south, you can access northbound Chester via Brundage Lane.

After 8:00am use 40th Street to approach Chester Avenue and wait for a Police Escort to cross into the parking lots adjacent to Sam Lynn Ball Park.

40th Street may be reached by using Jewett Street from 34th Street. See map below for details.
