Q1. Where do I find parking?  Is there a charge for Parking?

A1.  Parking is FREE in Lot #1 #2, or #3 located on Loop Road in the Militia Hill Picnic Area, off of Main Park Drive. 

 

Q2. Do I need a Ticket to enter? 

A2. Runners and Walkers need to register for a fee.   Spectators and Kids under 12 are free

Early Bird Registration (today – April 8): $35/Runner (all ages); $25/Walker; Free/Kids under 12. (guarantees free t-shirt)
Regular Registration (April 9 – May 17): $40/Runner (all ages); $30/Walker; Free/Kids under 12 (t-shirts available as supplies last)
Day-of Registration (May 18): $45/Runner (all ages); $35/Walker; Free/Kids under 12 (t-shirts available as supplies last)

 

Q3. How can I volunteer for the event? 

A3. Sign up on the runsignup.com/gdvwalkrun/volunteer page

 

Q4.  What happens if medical care is needed? 

A4.  EMT services will be on site during the 5K Event

 

Q5.  Do I need to pay for food? 

A5.  No.  All food is included in the registration fee.  All registered guests receives 1 sandwich, 1 pretzel, 1 water bottle;  cotton candy and water ice as desired. 

 

Q6. Where are the Bathrooms? 

A6. Bathrooms are located near the start/finish line. 

 

Q7. What type of kids activities will there be? 

A7.  There will be a free KIDS FUN RUN (for kids from ages 3-12) around the field near the main tented area at 11:30AM.  You must register your child to participate.  

Other activities:  Arts and crafts, face painting, animal balloons, playground, small games.    

 

Q8. Do I get a TSHIRT ? 

A8.  Anyone registered as Runner or Walker will be able to receive a free Tshirt (as supplies last).  If you register before May 6, 2024, you are guaranteed a Free Tshirt.  Registrations after May 6, 2024 may receive a Tshirt as supplies last.
