A new participant is one that was not registered in 2025.
Your recruit must use your personal referral link to register on the Breakthrough Challenge website. Personal referral links were emailed to all registered participants as of August 15, 2026. If you don't have your personal referral link, you may request one using the link below..
Referral Information Questions and Requests
Also, your referred new participants are eligible to receive a $150 donation credit for each new participant that they recruit using their personal referral code. Their personal referral code may be found on their registration confirmation and follow-up emails.
Additionally, all referred new participants who raise $100 in donations will each receive a $150 donation credit to their fundraising account!
For example:
- If you refer a new participant, you receive a $150 donation credit from the Smilow Foundation
- If your referred participant raises $100 in donations, they will receive a $150 donation credit from the Smilow Foundation
- If your referred particpant raises $50 in donations that is matched during a Match Challenge, then they will receive a $150 donation credit from the Smilow Foundation
- If your referred participant refers a new participant, they will receive a $150 donation credit from the Smilow Foundation
- If you refer 10 new participants, you will recieve a $1500 donation credit from the Smilow Foundation
This is a great way to boost your fundraising to earn our fundraising rewards.
