What is the Race for Open Space?

The Race for Open Space is a trail run/hike/walk that promotes healthy outdoor recreation in connection to local landscapes while raising funds for Big Sur Land Trust's work in Monterey County.

During this year's Race for Open Space, Big Sur Land Trust encourages you to lace up your shoes, step outside, and find your wonder no matter where you live. From April 4-25 you can choose to race designated courses, run/walk as many miles as you can wherever you are, or both.

If you wish to access Land Trust properties, you can add on a 2nd or 3rd course for just $10 each during initial registration. Youth 12 or under are eligible for 50%-off pricing.

Discounts applied during checkout. Adventure Courses priced separately at $50 each.
