SCTA Open Water Swimming Series

The Santa Cruz Triathlon Association is hosting a series of open water swim clinics at Cowell Beach. These clinics are open to the public as well as SCTA members.

The first clinic will be focused on the following:

• Beginner tips for open water swimming, including safety and warming up
• Putting on a wetsuit with ease
• Where to position yourself in a race corral
• Entering and exiting the water.

This second clinic will be focused on the following:

• Psychology of open water swimming\
• Swim corral simulation
• Drafting in the water
