Adventure Meets Purpose in the Sierra

Escape the Valley heat and head to the mountains for one of the most unique race experiences in California.

The Search & Rescue Run is a mountain adventure and fundraiser supporting the Fresno County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue Team. Set near Dinkey Creek Road on the south side of Shaver Lake, runners and hikers will experience scenic meadows, towering pines, cool streams, and beautiful Sierra trails at 5,400 feet elevation.

Choose your adventure:

  • Trail Half Marathon

  • 10K Trail Run

  • 5K Wild Run

  • 2 Mile Family Hike

Whether you're chasing a challenge, hiking with family, or simply enjoying a weekend in the mountains, this event delivers an unforgettable experience.

Help Find Big Foot

Known for its rugged trails, mountain atmosphere, and legendary Big Foot sightings, the Search & Rescue Run has become a favorite summer tradition.

All participants receive a custom Big Foot finisher medallion, with a new design featured each year.

The 5K Wild Run

The 5K course is not your average trail race.

After a fast descent toward the water’s edge, runners take on a rugged uphill scramble featuring approximately 200 feet of climbing through winding mountain switchbacks—earning its name as the Wild Run.

Adventure guaranteed.
