POST EVENT
At the Kona Chocolate Run, after crossing the finish line, athletes are treated to a grand chocolate experience—an extensive Chocolate Buffet comprising 8 to 9 stations, each brimming with a variety of chocolate delights. The National Honor Society Support Crew, donned in full chef attire, elevates the service, making the culinary experience even more special for participants.
The buffet includes a range of chocolate stations, such as baked goods, expertly carved chocolate pieces, and items dipped in chocolate. There are also stations dedicated to scooped treats like ice cream, and a plethora of other chocolate-infused creations. This Chocolate Buffet is not just about indulging in sweets; it's a well-organized feast that complements the festive and celebratory atmosphere of the event.
After enjoying the Chocolate Buffet, participants can collect their awards, which are available for pickup, adding a tangible recognition of their achievements on race day. This entire experience underscores the event's focus on community and celebration, further enhanced by the meticulous service provided by the young volunteers in chef gear, who add an element of gourmet sophistication to the post-race festivities.
Two lucky winners will receive the "Golden Medal" at the finish line and will win a Stanley mug and free entry into next year's event. This will be announced at 11:00 a.m. Must be present to win, we will not mail this out.
