REMOVING BARRIERS TO ACCESSING LIFE-SAVING CARE

When patients need help finding affordable transportation to and from their cancer treatments and appointments, we are there. What’s often standing between people with cancer and lifesaving treatment is a ride to get there. For too many patients,  transportation to and from their treatments tops the list of worries that come with acancer diagnosis. In fact, transportation barriers are the #1 reason for missed cancer appointments.

Your generous contribution will ensure that patients can focus ontheir recovery without the added stress of transportation through our Road To Recovery Program, making a meaningful difference in their journey towards better health.

PROVIDING A PLACE TO STAY WHEN CANCER TREATMENT IS FAR FROM HOME

For many people facing cancer and their families, being near your trusted medical team, and near your family and support system, are both essential. But when the hospital and home are hours apart, it’s hard to have both.

The American Cancer Society is here to support patients and families who live farfrom treatment by ensuring they have a place to stay through our 31 HopeLodge® Communities, our patient lodging grants distributed through our local healthcare partners, and our partnership with Extended Stay America.
