Q: What is the date of the 2025 Coastal Delaware Running Festival?
A: The 5k will April 12th and the 9k, Half & Full Marathon will be April 13th.
Q: Can I register at Packet Pick Up & Expo?
A: Registration will be available at the Packet Pick Up & Expo. You can only register for events that are not sold out. Credit Cards Only Accepted.
Q: Can I register on race day?
A: Only for the 5k on Saturday if it is not sold out. No registrations will be taken for the 9k, Half and Full on Sunday morning. The last chance to register will be at the Packet Pick Up & Expo on Saturday. Registration will only be available to events not sold out.

Q: Will I receive a refund if I cannot attend?

Q: How can I check to see if I'm registered?

Q: Can I switch races or transfer events? Example: CoDel Full Marathon to the Codel Half Marathon.

Q: Can I edit my registration?
A: Yes, parts of your registration can be edited. i.e. address, shirt size (Giveaway), email address, estimated finishing time. Learn more HERE.
Q: Can I purchase Add Ons, such as After Party tixs, VIP, Emergency Sunday Packet Pick Up, after I have registered.

Q: What do I get for my entry fee?
A: All Coastal Delaware Running Festival 5k, 9k, Half & Full participants receive a high quality shirt (gender specific 9k, Half & Full). All Participants receive a finishing medal if you complete the race (Challenge participants receive an extra medal if they registered for a challenge run and complete both events). All participants receive a finish line Celebration Party will beer, food and music. Please be sure to bring you ID to the Expo or the Finish Line Party if you plan to drink alcoholic beverages please have your I.D. available post race. Those participating in the 5k on Saturday only will need to purchase a ticket to the Sunday after if they wish to attend.
Q: I deferred from the event last year. Am I automatically re-registered for this year?
A: No, an email will sent several times to the address that was used to register. You will need to follow the instructions in the email to claim your deferral and re-register. You can register for the same distance that you deferred for no cost. If you upgrade, you will be charged the difference. If you downgrade, you will not receive a refund or credit.

Q: Can I register at the Expo & Packet Pick Up?
A: Registration will be available at the Packet Pick Up & Expo. You can only register for events that are not sold out. Credit Cards ONLY Accepted.

Q: Can I have my race packet and bib mailed.
A: No, we are switching to an Emergency Packet Pick Up Sunday morning. Only a limited number will be sold so please register early. Lead times for event swag and unreliable mail service are the reason for this change.
Q: Can someone else pick up my bib and race packet?
A: Yes. If you are unable to pick up your own race packet, you may authorize another person to pick up your packet/bib number. The authorized individual MUST have their own photo ID, a signed and printed authorization form, and a copy of the participant’s photo ID. The signed authorization form MUST be printed, we will NOT accept any authorization via phone, text message, or any other electronic device. The copy of the photo ID may be via text, email, or photo copy. If the authorized individual is missing any of these items, we will not release the packet/bib number, NO EXCEPTIONS. Q: Can I pick up my bib and race packet on race day?
A: We offer an emergency packet pick up for free on Saturday morning for the 5K ONLY. Anyone participating in an event on Sunday, must either go to Packet Pick Up on Friday or Saturday, have someone else get their packet with the rules stated above, or purchase the "Emergency Sunday Packet Pick Up" option.

Q: Where are the Water Stops on the races?

Q: Will there be an awards ceremony after the race? What are the award Categories?
A: Only for the 5k on Saturday. The awards ceremony will be held immediately following the race at the Dewey Beach Lions Club for Overall, Masters and Age Group winners. Please be sure to provide a complete and accurate Shipping Address when registering. We will only ship awards once.
There will be NO AWARDS CEREMONY on Sunday. Overall, Masters and Age Group awards for the 9k, Half & Full will be mailed within 8 to 10 weeks after the event. Mailed awards will be customized with names, date, event, division, place and finishing times.

Q: Where can I find my results?
A: Real Time Live Results and Tracking will be available. Check the website as we get closer to race day for tracking app info.

Q: Is there a dry bag check?
A: NO, please leave you items in your vehicle or hotel room. Items left at the start/finsih or on the course will be collected and donated.
Q: Will there be porta potties on the race course?
A: Absolutely! Porta potties will be located at the Start area, Finish area and at ALL water stops along the course. If you do not see a porta potty on course, ask the water stop volunteers for assistance. Every water stop has porta potties.
Q: Will there be snacks provided on the course?
A: We will provide Pretzels, M&M's, Gummie Bears, and flat Coke at Mile 20.2.
Q: What sports drinks and gels are available on the course?
A: Lemon-Lime Gatorade Endurance will be available on course at each aid station for the Marathon, Half Marathon & 9k.
Gu gels will be available on the Half Marathon waterstop at mile 8.1 and Marathon course waterstop near Miles 12.5, 15.7 and 21.5.
We encourage you to train with these brands before the race if you plan on using the drinks and gels on the course.
Q: What are the event start times?
A: 5k: Saturday at 9am
Full Marathon: Sunday at 7am
Half Marathon: Sunday at 7:40am
9k: Sunday at 7:20am
Q: Where can we park for the races?

Q: Can I switch corrals?
A: You may switch to a slower corral only. Only the Half Marathon is Corralled. You must seed yourself based on you mile pace. Corral signs with paces with be placed at the entrance.
Q: Are the races corralled?
A: Only the Half Marathon has corrals.
Q: What are the age requirements for each race?
A: Marathon: At least 16 years old
Half Marathon: At least 12 years old
9k & 5k: At least 5 years old to run. Baby jogging strollers welcome for younger.

General Questions
Q: Will I need my race number for the post race party?
A: Yes, your race number will serve as your ticket for the beer and food at the post-race party.
Q: Will there be shuttles on race day?
A: No. We do not have shuttles for race day.
Q: Are headphones allowed during the race?
A: The use of personal music devices are strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, The Coastal Delaware Running Festival encourages a headphone-free environment during the run. Several injuries and deaths have occurred to runners wearing headset/earbuds that were not able to hear instructions from event personnel or vehicles. Plus, volunteers and spectators will be on course cheering you on and providing directions to help get you to the finish line.
Q: Are Baby Joggers, Strollers or Pets allowed during the race?
A: In consideration of the safety of all participants, NO HAND CYCLES, STROLLERS(other than baby jogging strollers), BABIES IN CARRIERS/BACKPACKS, IN-LINE SKATES, SKATEBOARDS, BICYCLES WAGONS OR ANIMALS ON LEASHES will be allowed on the course. This will be strictly enforced.
**If you choose to run with a baby jogger, you must seed yourself in the last corral–behind all other runners. It is your responsibility to make sure your baby jogger does not impede other runners, and you must take extra precaution to ensure your safety, your child’s safety, and the safety of the runners around you. We reserve the right to pull any participant from the race who is endangering other runners or themselves. Pets are not permitted in any of the races.
Q: What will the weather be like in Coastal Delaware?
A: Coastal Delaware is know for it's nice weather. You can expect a high of 65 degrees and a low of 45 degrees. Winds are typically light.
Q: What are the time limits for the races? Are they walker friendly?
A: 5K has a 1 hour cut off and is walker friendly.
9K has a 3 hour cut off and is walker friendly.
Half Marathon has a 4 hour cut off and is walker friendly.
Marathon has a 6 hour and 45 minute cut off. Details below.

Q: Do the Marathon and Half Marathon have Pace Groups?

Q: What are the Cape Challenge, Ft. Miles Challenge and the Tower Challenge Races?
A: These are races that combine the 5k on Saturday with either the 9k, Half Marathon or Marathon on Sunday. Participants that complete these challenges receive 3 Finisher Medals for the weekend. CLICK HERE for more info.
Q: Is the Coastal Delaware Marathon a Boston Qualifier?
A: Yes. The marathon course is USATF certified.
