When and where is the Coronado Turkey Trot?
The Coronado Turkey Trot will take place on Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2024. The race starts and finishes at Tidelands Park in Coronado, CA, with registration opening at 6:30 AM and the race starting promptly at 8:00 AM.
What is the course route?
The 5K course begins at Tidelands Park, follows the Bayshore Bikeway along the San Diego Bay, passes under the Coronado Bridge, and turns around at Glorietta Blvd. Participants will continue to a second turnaround at Centennial Park and head back to the finish line at Tidelands Park.
Is there a virtual option?
Yes, we offer a virtual race option for those who can’t attend in person. Virtual participants can complete the 5K on their own time and will receive a race shirt and commemorative medal.
What is included with my registration?
All registered participants receive a commemorative race shirt, finisher’s medal, and post-race refreshments. The event benefits the Pediatric Ophthalmology Department at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego.
Can I bring a stroller, scooter, or bike?
Strollers are allowed on the course, but for safety, only children under 6 may use scooters. Bikes and pets are not permitted on the course.
Where is the best place to park?
Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis near Tidelands Park. We recommend arriving early, as spaces fill quickly. Carpooling or rideshare is encouraged.
What time should I arrive?
Plan to arrive by 6:30 AM to allow time for parking, check-in, and warm-up. The race will start promptly at 8:00 AM, and roads in the area may have closures near race time.

Notes for Packet Pick-Up
Walk-up Registration available at Packet Pick-Up if the event is not sold out. Photo IDs are required. You may pick up for a friend if you have a copy of their photo ID. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please plan on attending one of the pre-race packet pick-ups; out of towners may pick up on race morning beginning at 6:30am but it is discouraged.
Can I volunteer for the event?
Absolutely! Volunteers are essential to making this event a success. If you’d like to volunteer, please contact us at contact@easydaysports.com. Volunteers will assist with registration, water stations, course guidance, and more.
What happens if it rains?
The Coronado Turkey Trot is a rain-or-shine event! In the event of extreme weather conditions, updates will be provided via email and our social media channels.
What are my refund options for this race purchase?
All entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE, no exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You may transfer your entry to another person for $15. Contact us at contact@easydaysports.com for instructions on how to transfer your registration to another runner.
What is the race cancellation policy?
Weather, emergencies, or other issues of public safety may cause cancellation or postponement of the Event(s), outside of the control of event management. In the instance of an unforeseen event cancellation, a majority of event expenses have already incurred.
In the event the race is canceled due to weather, emergencies, or other issues of public safety, Coronado Turkey Trot presented by Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary will switch all entries to virtual and mail all runner items to the shipping address provided at registration.
