Our Sponsors

Our race sponsors listed below help us enhance the runner experience while keeping entry fees reasonable. They also help to ensure a sizable donation for our race beneficiary. Some of them also provide invaluable help in organzing the race. Please consider supporting their businesses both directly as a customer and by spreading word about them to others. If you are interested in sponsoring the Delta Junction Barley Half Marathon, please contact the race director through the Contact page on this website.

Alaska Flour Company
This event could not happen without the generosity of the Alaska Flour Company! As the host of the race, they have provided all the necessary space for the race festivities and parking, and several miles of the course will traverse through their barley fields. They will also provide some of their tasty pizzas to runners after the race. Many of their barley products are a great source of carbs, fiber, and protein for runners logging heavy miles! (Their barley couscous is lowkey fire.) Check out their online shop or find their products at Three Bears and many other locations around Alaska.

Steven Miley Photography
Steven Miley is the race director and founder of the Delta Junction Barley Half Marathon. In addition to organizing the race, he will also provide free photography and videography services on race day and lead training hikes & runs leading up to the race. Steven offers guided hikes in the Delta Mountains and volunteers to maintain some of the "unmaintained" trails in the area, including Donnelly Dome. Catch him running around Delta and power hiking up Donnelly Dome as he trains for the Equinox Marathon and the Mount Marathon Race this summer.

Caveman Arctic Adventures
Tim Beale serves as a race ambassador, donating his time to recruit sponsors, volunteers, & participants, and help plan the event. Tim guides tours in the Delta Mountains, including Castner Glacier, and also he volunteers building and maintaining trails. Tim will be running in the inaugural race, so wave to him along the course!

Tangle Lakes Lodge
Tangle Lakes Lodge is donating prizes for the overall male & female race champions, good for a cabin and canoe rental at their wilderness adventure lodge on the Denali Highway. Their lodge is a great place to stay or stop in for a meal when visiting the Denali Highway in the summer, and they help groom the highway in winter so snowmachiners, skiers, mushers and other adventurers can recreate on and off the highway. Why not plan a visit there to recuperate in a mountain paradise after you finish the race?

Frosty Feet Running Company
Frosty Feet Running Company is donating prizes for the age group winners. Their advice & help advertising the event has been invaluable. Frosty Feet is more than just a running shop, they're a pillar of the running community in Fairbanks and now Delta Junction as well. Their sister company, Frosty Feet Timing, is also providing timing services for the race. Stop in the store for your next shoe purchase, and consider signing up for their annual HooDoo Half Marathon race in October!

Prospector Outfitters
Prospector Outfitters is donating prizes for our top 3 overall finishers and providing volunteer support for the race. A new Prospector location is opening up in Delta Junction this summer, which will be an exciting addition to our town and we welcome them becoming part of our community. Check out their other locations when you're in Fairbanks or Valdez.
