Barr Trail Mountain Race

Donation Goal: $10,000

With your help, the BTMR has raised over $200,000 for local area non-profit and volunteer organizations.

Your donation will help us reach our goal for 2020.

This year's beneficiaries include:

El Paso County Search and Rescue (EPCSAR) is an all-volunteer non-profit organization. They never charge for their services and yet they incur enormous expenses related to the missions they serve on. Some of those missions involve saving runner’s from mountain trails! They also provide race support for several races including the this one and the Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon.

Rocky Mountain Field Institute (RMFI) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of public lands in Southern Colorado. RMFI is committed to protecting and enhancing the ecological health of our land and water resources by completing projects focused on watershed restoration, forest health, and sustainable recreation areas. By prioritizing the involvement of community volunteers and youth, RMFI envisions a world where our work fosters vibrant and healthy natural systems that are respected and cared for by the public.

Barr Camp is a non-profit, community and volunteer supported organization, dedicated to providing aid and support to individuals and groups to enhance their Pikes Peak experience and provides a year round base for rescue operations and offers potentially lifesaving advice and information to hikers on Pikes Peak. Barr Camp is committed to protecting the environment and educating the public on outdoor wilderness ethics.

Trails and Open Space Coalition (TOSC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created in 1987, which is committed to preserving open space and parks and creating a network of trails, bikeways and greenways for the Pikes Peak region. They work cooperatively with local and regional governments, community organizations, businesses, families and individuals who share the vision of an interconnected network of trails, greenways and open space. They advocate, educate, build connections with other groups, fund projects, and create and support volunteer projects.

Local area high school cross country and track & field programs from schools such as The Classical Academy, Widefield High School, Manitou Springs High School, Doherty High School, and Woodland Park High School staffing aid stations. Make sure to VOTE for your favorite aid station after you cross to finish line. The most votes gets the most of your donation dollars! Other local high schools are welcome and encouraged to get involved.
