Details

Be behind the scenes and the first to see how the race begins! Duties include preparing race bags, assisting runners with finding their bib number, greeting participants with smiles, answering questions/providing race information. Position requires some light lifting up to 30 lbs. Volunteers are responsible for cleaning up their area before they leave.

Race Course

High School Aid Station Challenge Voting High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

High School teams will be manning the water/aid/cheer stations. Athletes will vote at the finishing line for the high school team that did the best job at their assigned station. This volunteer position will encourage athletes to vote and count the final votes to determine the winner and provide that information to the announcer.

Finish Line High Priority

Details

You will be at the Barr Trailhead welcoming the runners as they cross the line. Your duties may entail sweeping the course of debris, setting up a lane with cones, calling in bib numbers to the announcer, and other finish line tasks.

Course Marshals High Priority

Details

Directing runners and keeping them safe along the route are key. Duties include a proper understanding of the course, being able to stop pedestrian and/or traffic while runners cross. Standing for long periods of time is required.

Announcer Assistant

These volunteers will spot athletes as they cross the finish line, look up athletic information by bib# on computer and provide that information to the announcer.

Sweat Check High Priority

Details

As a courtesy to the participants, the event offers gear check service to all registered athletes. Athletes’ belongings will be organized by bib# and distributed to participants after they have completed their respective event. The participant must be wearing the bib number that corresponds with the bag they are requesting for pick-up.

You will be helping us "Leave No Trace" as we put away chairs and tables and tidy the Soda Springs venue after the race awards.

You'll be in charge of making sure that every runner that finishes under the cut-off time goes home with their hard earned BTMR t-shirt!

Details

Volunteers will have a choice of a variety of operation experiences. This included being part of the official set-up crew the day before the event. Help is needed with installing signage, moving boxes, and cleaning the site after the event. This is a perfect volunteer position for those looking for a more physically interactive job.
