The Classic City Marathon is crafted by the Classic City Marathon Association and brought to you by the Athens Road Runners. The members of the Association each have a deep commitment to running and to building community. As part of giving back to the community the Association picks several non-profits each year to make donations to from the race proceeds.  The 2026 charity partners were Books for Keeps, Athens Radio Club, Athens YMCA, UCBC Cares Foundation, Nuci’s Space, United Way of NE Georgia, Firefly Trail Foundation, and AthFest Educates.
