BIKE

Exiting the Transition Area at the Shore Club Resort marks the beginning of the bike leg. Here's a detailed guide to the bike course:

Exit Route: Leave the transition area under the Bike Out inflatable and follow the bike out chute. Proceed down the curb onto S. Lake Street. Exercise caution while exiting the city, as it's only about a mile until you're out of town. Avoid being in the aero position at this point.
Northbound: Head north on S. Lake Street until you reach the corner of Rhine and Gottfied. Make a left turn onto Rhine and Gottfied, which will lead you out of town.
LineKiln Rd: After leaving town, make a right turn onto LineKiln Rd. About a mile from this point, you'll encounter a sharp, downhill sweeping turn. Exercise caution here.
MM and Highview: Continue on LineKiln Rd until you reach MM, where you'll make a left turn onto Highview. At this juncture, Sprint and Olympic distance athletes will diverge. Super Sprint athletes will turn around and head back.
Course Split: Olympic and Sprint distance athletes will head right at the corner of MM and Highview. Sprint athletes will head straight back to the resort, while Olympic distance athletes will turn left and head out for lap 2.
Multiple Loops: Olympic distance athletes must complete two loops before returning to the venue. The sprint course totals approximately 16.5 miles, while the Olympic distance covers about 27.7 miles.
Return to Resort: Exercise caution and refrain from the aero position as you make your way back into town. Navigate back to S. Lake Street and return to the Shore Club resort and transition area.
During the bike leg, the 3 Disciplines bike course coordinator will be patrolling the course in a white truck with emergency flashers. If you encounter any difficulties or mechanical issues, flag them down for assistance. Additionally, police and county sheriff personnel will be stationed at intersection crossings to ensure safe passage. Support crew personnel will also be present at corners and intersections, and the course will be well-marked with signs, cones, and chalk for navigation.

Adhering to these instructions will ensure a safe and successful bike leg as you navigate through the picturesque course at the Elkhart Lake Triathlons.
