RUN
Exiting the Transition Area at the Shore Club Resort under the Run out Inflatable marks the beginning of the run leg. Here's a detailed guide to the run course:
Exit Route: Follow the run chute down the drive, marked by orange cones, chalk, and signs throughout the route. The first and last mile and a half are flat, taking you past cheering tourists.
Course Terrain: The backside of the run course will take you up to the highest point in the county, offering great views. After the ascent, you'll enjoy a downhill section as you wind through the neighborhood on your way back to the finish at the Shore Club resort.
Distance: Olympic distance athletes will turn around 0.5 miles out from transition and head back out for lap 2.
Aid Stations: There will be aid stations at each mile, offering water and Gatorade Endurance formula. This is a mostly flat run course, except for the climb at the back of the course.
Run Course Coordinator: The 3 Disciplines run course coordinator will be out on the course in a mule. If you need assistance, flag them down and they will help you. They can also bring you back to transition if needed. Each aid station will have first aid and communication to the course coordinator for further assistance.
Overall, the run course offers a mix of flat sections and a challenging climb, providing a memorable experience for athletes as they race towards the finish line at the Shore Club resort.
