Event: Thunderbolt Youth Tri 5-10

When kids participate in a youth triathlon, amazing things happen. Sometimes kids just need an opportunity to participate and be a part of something bigger than themselves and play in a large social setting.
The Thunderbolt Youth Triathlon will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019. It will be a fantastic opportunity for kids and their parents to be involved in the growing international sport of triathlon. This triathlon is for ages 5-17 and will take place at Veterans Memorial Park, starting at the Cove and finishing in the grass just past the playground.
Open to ages 4 - 10.

Price: $35.00 Race Fee + $3.10 SignUp Fee
Registration: Price increases to $40.00 after July 10, 2024 at 11:59pm MST

Event: Thunderbolt Youth Triathlon RELAY 5-10

Top 3 teams will be awarded. There will not be a differentiation of gender for teams, i.e., all male, all female or mixed teams are are in the same category and racing for the top 3 awards. All Relay team members must be within the age limit for the race they are participating in. For example, members of a team racing in the 5-10 year old Relay would all have to be 5-10 years old by 12/31/19.

Event: Parent Wave

A wave (or waves) for parents of participants that want to race and yes, we'll be giving out awards for fastest combined time of Mom+child and Dad+child. If you have multiple kids in the race, we'll add the fastest child/kid participant time to your time. These parent waves will be racing the same course as the 11-17 year olds (200 yd swim, 6 mile bike, 1.0 mile run). All parents must either be a USAT Member or purchase a membership- 1 day license accepted ($15). This pays for the insurance that USAT provides.
