James O'Connor Recovery 5K
This is event is for my dear friend, James O'Connor.
On February 22, 2012, a cab struck James while he crossed the street in front of his home in Astoria, Queens. James suffered severe head trauma and two shattered tibias. He needed two life-saving surgeries on his brain and two reconstructive surgeries on both of his legs. James was in a coma for about two months at Elmhurst Hospital. He is currently trying to get back on his feet. Let's celebrate his strength.
