RWJBarnabas Health Running with the Devils 5K Run & Walk 2026

The Live 5K Run will feature a competitive 3.1-mile race on a USATF- Certified Course, down Cherry Lane and around the scenic reservoir at South Mountain Recreation Complex. Check-in and on-site registration open at 7:00 a.m. and close promptly at 8:45 a.m. to ensure the race starts on time.

T-shirts and participation medals will be distributed to the first 2,000 registered runners and walkers. T-shirt size requests are not guaranteed. All participants will receive a free photo courtesy of RWJBarnabas Health and the New Jersey Devils.

For runners or walkers who are not available to participate in the live event, the virtual format allows you to run or walk around your neighborhood, at a local park, or on a treadmill from October 1 to November 1 using the RunGo App. Virtual participants will also receive a co-branded item and are eligible for prizes. The first 1,000 live and virtual runners signed up will also receive a medal.

New this year, virtual participants can choose to take part in the Virtual Cumulative Challenge, allowing them to run or walk at their own pace. Simply log their activity in the app each time they participate and work toward a total of 3.1 miles—whether they complete it all at once or gradually over the course of the month.

In conjunction with the New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey Club, the RWJBarnabas Health Running with the Devils 5K Run & Walk is pleased to hold the third annual 5K Skate.

The RWJBarnabas Health Running with the Devils 5K Skate, open only to New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey Club members and organizations affiliated with Codey Arena, will take place on TBD at Codey Arena, 650 Northfield Avenue, West Orange. Check-in opens at TBD. New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey Club players should enter the team-supplied code when registering for the program. Players who fundraise at least $25 are eligible for medals, giveaways, and additional prizes.
