Scouting the Moon

The 5K course will start and end near the Clearview Pavilion and take runners on a tour of Moon Park. Overall, the course is very runnable but there are portions that are narrow, steep, excessively rooted and/or covered with vegetation. Expect the first half to be slower than the second but the final climb will keep you pushing until the very end.

The 10K course will start and end near the Clearview Pavilion and take runners down into Montour Woods to experience the great trails maintained by the Hollow Oak Land Trust. Overall, the trail is very runnable but there are portions that are narrow, steep, excessively rooted and/or covered with vegetation. Expect two significant climbs during the race and a final climb will keep you pushing until the very end. The tentative course can be found here:
