The Run for Purpose 5K is for everyone! For experienced racers, those who register for the run will be chip-timed and there will be an award for the top 3 Male & Women finishers. However, we are not just for the speedsters: sign up to walk and you'll get the same experience! The course cut-off is 90 min - plenty of time for walkers of all paces!

 

Every participant will receive a t-shirt, healthy treat at our afterparty & a finisher's medal!

Kids Obstacle Course

Registration fee $10

Kids can join the fun too with a special blow up obstacle course! Participation in this event teaches children about the importance of perseverance and practice in building stamina. Building the habit of regular exercise early in life, particularly an activity that can be continued life-long will be invaluable to long-term physical and mental health.

Each child that participates will also receive a special finisher's medal and a voucher for a healthy treat at our afterparty! This option is available for children ages 5-12 years old. We will have other free activities for our younger ones so they can enjoy it too!

You can register as a non-participant for a donation of $30 and all proceeds will go directly to the Lakeside's Outreach department!

The Run for Purpose 5K is more than just a fun day! All proceeds benefit our Serve the City projects though the Lakeside Church that was founded in 2007. We provide support to those that are in need through outreach projects several times a month through home restoration/remodeling/landscaping, providing food through our food distributions, meeting the needs of the homeless, ministering to those that have addictions, assisting single moms and widows, showing appreciation to those that sacrificially serve us in the city, loving on those in assisted living facilities and those in prison. These are some of the locations we have reached people in the past year: Clermont, Minneola, Groveland, Montverde, Mascotte, Oakland and Winter Garden.
