Lakeside Church Run for Purpose 5k

The Lakeside church is excited to host its first 5k, "Run for Purpose"!

Run for Purpose is an event that provides an encouraging atmosphere that moves the community to both engage in a challenging activity together and benefits several organizations making an impact locally.

The race will begin at 7:30am on Saturday, January 7th at the Lakeside Church. The 5K will start and finish at the back of our Central Campus in Oakland at 16001 W Colonial Drive, Oakland. This event  is being organized by the Lakeside Church, Staff & Dream team. We welcome serious runners, walkers, volunteers, spectators, and all who want to have a good time! Please consider joining us in supporting our local community! Please refer to the map under the Route tab for more information on the course and  parking. This 5k will take participants on an off road loop through the beautiful residential streets of Oakland, keep this in mind if you plan on pushing a stroller. Bring your friends and family to cheer you on and join us for the post race party. We'll have food trucks, bounce houses, rock climbing wall and fun for the whole family. 

Packet pickup hours at the current campus (100 Countyline Ct, Oakland) are as follows:

Wednesday  8:15pm-9:00pm during first Wednesday's after party
Thursday January 5th from 3pm-8pm and
Friday January 6th  from 7am 10am

Race morning from 6:15am-7:15am at the race venue***

***Please note that the parking area of the new campus will not be ready for race day and the only way to access the event is via Oakland Ave and S Brock Street. You will not be able to access the event via Highway 50***

Each registrant will receive a performance race shirt, a commemorative medal, and the Top 3 Male and Female finishers from each course will receive prizes.
