Description
Run, hike or walk the scenic trails of Seminole State Forest. Offering something for everyone, there will be a 5K, 12K (7.14 miles) and half-marathon trail race through some of central Florida's most beautiful forests.
This is a charity event and all proceeds will be used to improve the Seminole State Forest for the increased enjoyment of the public.
You can directly support the Seminole State Forest by registering for the trail run today. Because the Run is sponsored by the Friends of Seminole State Forest, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, your registration fees are tax deductible, to the extent allowed by law. Thank you!

FAQs
COVID The Friends of Seminole State Forest (FSSF) will strive to provide our 2022 Run for the Woods participants with a safe environment to race. Our focus is to minimize all participants’ possible exposure to the virus as much as possible by following these simple guidelines:
All runners and guests assume personal responsibility for adhering to current COVID guidelines.
Runners (single/teams/families) will be distanced 6 feet apart at the start of the race.
Masks/hand sanitizer will be available at registration and all water stations.
STAY HOME if you have any symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19! We will apply your paid registration to next year’s race, with proof of a positive test.
The FSSF and their volunteers will not be held liable for the development of symptoms or testing positive for COVID-19 post-race.
Where do I park at the event?
Parking is FREE and will be available at the Hwy 46 Seminole State Forest Entrance / Bear Pond trailhead. We will have folks directing the parking.
Are maps of the routes available? What about water stations?
Course maps for all distances are available by clicking on the Course Maps tab and selecting the map you would like to view. Water stations are located on maps.
Will restrooms will be available?
There is an existing restroom at the southern Bear Pond trailhead /SR 46 and at the northern Cassia trailhead / Hwy 44. There will also be porta-potties near the Bear Pond finish line.
What about medals and T-shirts?
All participants will receive a commemorative medal and T-shirts.
Will there be prizes?
There will be prizes for the top finishers in each race. The prizes are unique arts and crafts donated by Central Florida artists.
Is there an age limit to enter the event?
There is no age requirement for the races, but we do ask that runners under the age of 15 be accompanied throughout the course by an adult.
Can I bring stuff to the event?
We will be on State Forest land. You can bring food, drinks, coolers, your friends, flags, chairs, a change of clothes, and the like. Anything in particular not on this list, please ask us about it via our Facebook page
Are pets allowed at the race?
You may bring your furry friend with you to the event. Pets are allowed on the course but they must be leashed at all times and well behaved. Please keep pets out of the way of other runners, pick up after them and be respectful of others that are not comfortable around pets.
