This race will probably sell out in the couple of days, so tell your friends!! Below you will find some important details to help you have a smooth race! We will send out a last email the day before with race day information. Do not purchase "tickets" online from unknown people or sources. There are many scammers out there. Always verify with us for any changes. 

Hello Runners!

Race week is finally here! We are thrilled to have you join the Fayetteville Running Club for the 13th Annual Firecracker 4 Miler and 1 Mile Fun Run this Saturday, July 4th. Be sure to dress up in your favorite red, white, and blue running attire!

Below is all the essential information you need regarding safety, packet pick-up, and what to expect at our Race Headquarters.

 NEW RACE HQ & PARKING Please remember that we have a new start and finish area this year! The race will start and end at North South Brewing Company (304 Williams St.). Parking is free at most of the downtown parking lots. (Note: Please do not go to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum, as the venue has changed.) Maps below.

 PACKET PICK-UP (Friday 3 July)
  • When/Where: From 4-7PM you can pick up your packets at North South Brewing Company (304 Williams St.) 
  • What you get: Your registration includes a custom baseball jersey (4 Miler) or t-shirt (1 Miler), and your race bib. Don't forget you bib on ace day and WEAR IT ON THE FRONT!
  • There are no size exchanges!!
  • Can't make it? A friend or family member can pick up your packet for you, provided they show your ID or a copy of your registration email.
  • Reminder: This event is sold out for the 1 Miler, and there is NO race-day registration.
 SAFETY FIRST
  • Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate - We will have water on the course and at the finish
  • Course Security: Your safety is our priority. We have partnered with the Fayetteville Police Department, and there will be 20 uniformed officers and supervisors securing the route and intersections.
  • Headphones: Earbuds and headphones are allowed, but participants must keep at least one ear clear to hear traffic, warnings, and fellow runners.
  • Dogs & Strollers: Strollers and dogs are welcome! If you are running with your pup, they must be on a short leash (no retractable leashes) and you must start near the back of the pack to prevent tripping hazards.
 RACE HQ AMENITIES & VENDORS
  • Restrooms & Wash Stations: There will be ample portable toilets and hand-washing stations set up at the start/finish area.
  • Food & Hydration: We will have water on the course at a minimum of two locations, plus water and snacks waiting for you at the finish line. Additionally, food trucks will be parked at Race HQ with food and drinks available for purchase.
  • Bag Drop: Please note that there is NO secure gear check area. Please leave your valuables securely locked in your vehicle.
  • Sponsors & Vendors: Bring your energy and check out the fantastic sponsors and vendors setting up tents and tables at the venue! A huge thank you to our Title Sponsor, Two Men and a Truck, as well as our incredible community partners including Fine Detail Mobile Detailing and Cozy Corner Child Development Center.
  • Fayetteville Woodpeckers: Don't forget—all entrants receive a free ticket to a Fayetteville Woodpeckers baseball game! A link will be provided to you shortly so you can select a game on July 17th, 18th, or 19th.
  • Don't forget your Llama selfies with Shaky Tails on Race Day!!!
  • The most exciting, high energy spot on the course will be the Spirited Women from the Fayetteville Alumna Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Inc.
 
We can't wait to celebrate the 4th of July with you. Get plenty of rest, hydrate, and we will see you at the starting line!
