The 13th Annual Firecracker 4 Miler and 1 Mile Fun Run is finally here! Get your best red, white, and blue outfits ready for this Saturday, July 4th. Below is a quick overview of tomorrow's packet pick-up and essential race day information.
PACKET PICK-UP (TOMORROW 3 July)
- When & Where: 4-7pm at North South Brewing 304 Williams St, Fayetteville NC
- What you get: You will receive your race bib alongside your custom baseball jersey (for the 4 Miler) or your race t-shirt (for the 1 Miler).
- Proxy Pick-up: Can't make it? A friend or family member can pick up your packet for you, provided they have a copy of your ID or your registration email.
RACE DAY INFO: SATURDAY, JULY 4TH
- New Location: Please remember our new start and finish area is at North South Brewing Co., located at 304 Williams St.
- Race Day Packet Pick up is from 6-645AM Sharp! Look for the orange Packet Pick Up Flag near the entrance to the taproom
- Start Times: The 4 Miler begins promptly at 7:00 AM EDT, and the 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 8:15 AM EDT. Please remember there is NO race-day registration. We will have our live race results monitor up for you to see your unofficial results. Official Results will be posted by noon on run sign up. We use 10 year age groups along with GUN TIME.
- Parking: Parking is free at most of the downtown parking lots. Maps below
- Course: You will enjoy a historic tour of Downtown Fayetteville, starting at North South Brewing, heading up the hill by Arsenal Park, down Hay Street, onto the Linear Park Trail, through Festival Park, and finishing back at the brewery. It will be marked with white signs with arrows, red arrows, and spray chalk on the streets near turns etc... Examples of course marking will be at the start. There will be a bike lead. There is a Strava Map you can download too. Look for the Course info tab.
- 1 Mile fun run: 08:15AM The run will be lead by a volunteer and will have a sweep. Please be mindful that you will encounter 4 miler finishers on this route. Parents can escort their child on the route if desired.
- Amenities: There will be ample porta-potties at the start/finish area. We will have a minimum of two water stations on the course, plus water and snacks waiting for you at the finish line. Food trucks will also be on-site with items for purchase.
- Safety & Rules:
- Headphones: Earbuds and headphones are allowed, but please keep at least one ear clear to hear traffic, warnings, and fellow runners.
- Dogs & Strollers: Dogs and strollers are welcome! Dogs must be on a short leash (no retractables), and we ask that you start near the back of the pack.
- Gear Check: Please leave valuables secured in your vehicle, as there is NO secure gear check available at Race HQ.

- 6:00 - 6:45AM - Packet Pickup Open
- 6:55AM - National Anthem
- 7:00AM - Firecracker 4 Miler Starts
- 7:45AM - Awards for the top 3 male and female will be presented.
- 8:00AM - Age Group awards start
- 8:15AM - 1 Mile Starts
