The General and The Mrs. Independence Day Run

WELCOME TO VIRTUAL RACING WITH A TWIST!!

House of Heroes, CVC is hosting the General and the Mrs. Independence Day Run. Here's how it works:

Run 70 miles any way you want to before July 4th, 2020. On July 4, you can choose to run 4 miles on your own to celebrate Independence day or you can choose to run 4 miles on the track at Omaha Brewing.

THAT'S RIGHT, REAL LIFE OR VIRTUAL RACING!! YOU CHOOSE.

Also, on the off chance that you think that Omaha is too far of a drive for a 4 mile run, you can opt in for the 20 mile run which we added to celebrate the fact that House of Heroes is 20 years old this year.

20 IN 2020, THAT'S PRETTY COOL, RIGHT?!

Finally, what kind of people would we be if we did not include an obligatory beer mile at a Brewery? Not a beer drinker, then you can seize the day by racing in the ginger ale category.  

BEER MILES ARE FUN!!

Results for the 74 mile race will be based on the last 4 miles you run. So, make sure you time that bad boy if you are running from your house!! If you are running at Omaha, we will time it for you.

You can also run the 20 mile run virtually, so make sure to time that as well as we will load your results into the virtual category. If you run it at Omaha, we will time if for you.

This is a loop course. So while it seems simple enough, know that it is a challenging loop. But to keep it fun, you will get to see your race crew's smiling face every mile.

We will have plenty of water, CeraSport, and treats to keep you going.

I think it goes without saying that the beer mile will only be run at Omaha, but just in case, I thought I would add that little note right here. ;)

EVERY FINISHER WILL RECEIVE A VERY FANCY GENERAL AND THE MRS MEDAL AS WELL AS LOADS OF GOOD KARMA.

We also have the option for you to choose a shirt at checkout as well as a hat if you so desire. Remember, each item you add on benefits House of Heroes.

Why are we doing this? Because House of Heroes REALLY needs funding to continue the work they do in our community. It is especially important right now!!
