FAQS: Registration Management

 

1. How do I register for a race?
To register for a race, create a RunSignup account and follow the tutorial.

 

2. How do I manage my registration? 
You can view or edit your registration by navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration.

 

3. I lost my confirmation email. Can I have another one sent?
Absolutely! You can resend the confirmation email by navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Resend Confirmation. If you did not receive it, make sure to check the spam folder in your email client. 

 

4. Can I transfer to a different event (Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, Kids Dash)?
Event to event transfer is authorized. You are only credited the amount paid for your current event. For example, if Lauren paid $45 for the 5K event and transfers to the Half Marathon event which cost $75, Lauren will be required to pay the difference of $30. If you are transferring to a cheaper event, you will not pay any additional standard fees for the Event Transfer. However, the difference in pricing will not be refunded. Submit any transfer requests to the Race Director no later than November 30, 2023. You may request to transfer from the Marathon or Half Marathon to the 5K during packet pick-up or on race day from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. 

 

5. How do I transfer from one authorized event to another? 
You can transfer to another event by navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration > Transfer to Another Race.

 

6. Can I defer my registration to next year?
No. Unfortunately, this race is not guaranteed next year. 

 

FAQs: General

 

7. Can I register/pick-up my bib on race day?
No. We do not allow race registration or packet pick-up on Saturday for the Marathon, Half Marathon nor 5K. 

 

8.  What do I need to bring for packet pick-up?
Bring a photo ID/

 

9.  What if I can't pick-up my bib prior to race day?
If you are unable to pick-up your packet at the scheduled date, please assign a representative to pick it up on your behalf. The representative must bring a copy of your photo ID and registration confirmation. For more details, click here.

 

10.  I am a non-DoD cardholder. How do I pick-up my bib?
Do not worry! We will have a designated location off-base to ensure you have the same opportunity as our DoD cardholders. For more details, click here.

 

11. What are the age requirements for each event?  
o Marathon: 16 years or older on race day 
o Half Marathon: 12 years or older on race day
o 5K: 5 years or older on race day
o Kids Dash: 5 to 12 years on race day

 

12.  Can I run any of the events if I did not register?
No. Only registered participants will be permitted on the course. For the Kids Dash, parents/guardians are permitted to run along with their child(ren) as long as the child is registered. Finisher medals will only be given to the registered kid(s).

 

13. Is the race open to the public?
Yes. No base access is needed! All people and vehicles are subject to inspection, search, and seizure.

 

14.  At what time should I arrive to the event?
We recommend you arrive at least 1.5 hours before the scheduled start time of your event. This will give you enough time to go through security, park, and check-in. You may also want to use the restroom and warm up prior to race start. We will have one of our awesome instructors lead the warmup in the morning! Non-DoD cardholders may enter the installation between 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

 

15. Is on-site parking available?

16. Is there's a place to drop-off my belongings?
You may use the lockers inside the Domenici Fitness & Sports Center. Bring a lock if you would like to lock your belongings. Otherwise, please leave your belongings in your vehicle. The parking lot is walking distance from the start line. Do not leave any items unattended! 

 

17. When/where are the results posted? 
Results will be LIVE here. You can also find your results by navigating to Profile > My Registered Races > Results.

 

18.  Who will receive a finisher's medal?
Registered participants who cross the finish line within the time limit, including participants in the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K.

 
 

FAQs: Racecourse

 

19. Where do the events start/finish?
The Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K will start and finish at W 11th St. and the Kids Dash will be at the outdoor running track. All locations are near to the Domenici Fitness & Sports Center. 

 

20. Are any of the events walker-friendly? 
The 5K and Kids Dash are the only walker-friendly events. If you are walking, we ask you to please start in the back. Remember that you must finish by the course time limits. All time limits are based on gun time.

 

21. What are the course time limits?
o Marathon: 8 hours
o Half Marathon: 7 hours 45 minutes
o 5K: 2 hours
o Kids dash: 1 hour 

 

22. Who/what is not permitted on the race course?
The following is prohibited but not limited to:
o Non-registered personnel 
o Spectators  
o Animals (sorry, we do love our animals but only service animals allowed)
o Bicycles 
o Roller blades/skates
o Scooters
o Strollers (ALLOWED on the 5K course only)
o Nor any other wheeled vehicle, except for Emergency Medical Service, Fire Department, Security Forces, and other authorized personnel.

 

23. How will I know where to go on the course?
The course will include arrows, event signs, and mile markers. Also, our volunteers will posted along the course. We got you! 

 

24. Are there any aid/hydration stations along the course? 
Yes! Aid/hydration stations will be placed every 2-3 miles for the Marathon and Half Marathon. All aid/hydration stations will include water, of course! Some will include Gatorade, energy gels, fruits (bananas & oranges) portable restrooms, and medical personnel ready to provide first-aid. Security Forces will also be posted along the course and assist (if needed).

 

25. Will photographers be on the course?
Yes. Ensure to wear your bib on the front. Smile and pretend like nothing is hurting! Photos will be uploaded no later than December 16, 2023 via RunSignup. We will send you an email once the photos are ready :)

 

26. Can I qualify for the Boston Marathon?
No, our course is not a Boston qualifier. 

 

FAQs: Financial Management

 

27. I would like to see my registration receipt. Can I have a receipt sent?
You can view your transaction by navigating to Profile > My Transactions (link at the bottom of your profile under the Financial Links section).

 

28. How do I request a refund?
Due to the upfront costs, all entry and sale fees are non-refundable. We understand plans change and circumstances beyond our control occur. Yet, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy instead of being subjective on who should receive a refund. Refunds will not be issued for event cancellation.
