Ride & Dash
The RIDE & DASH race provides athletes who may not feel comfortable swimming in a competition setting to still participate in the event.
The RIDE & DASH is limited to 80 participants. Once we have reached the maximum number of participants, no additional participants will be allowed to register for this division.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the RIDE & DASH race, a participant must meet the following criteria:
- Must be between 6 and 17 years old as of the event date.
- Must be able to complete the prescribed course, described below, alone with no assistance.*
*Volunteers and race crew will be available to provide assistance in the transition area with basic functions such as finding participant’s transition sport and removing the bike from the transition rack. NO PARENTAL ASSISTANCE IS ALLOWED DURING THE EVENT.
SCHEDULE
The SHORT COURSE RIDE & DASH will be offered on Saturday. See the SCHEDULE OF EVENTS page for additional details.
COURSE
The SHORT COURSE RIDE & DASH course will follow the same route at the short course triathlon minus the swim, i.e. a 2-mile bike and a 1-mile run.
Athletes will use the same transition and finish line as the triathlon. The RIDE & DASH will start at the bike mount/dismount line on Katy Mills Dr.

AWARDS
All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal at the finish line. There are no awards for RIDE & DASH participants.
